Job hours are cut, class is tiring, sleep is sometimes off the menu, and weekends seem to get shorter. And it only reminds me of how fortunate and spoiled I am. Hours cut at work reminds me that having a job at all is a blessing. The tiring feeling coming home from work reminds me the value of each dollar I earn, reminding me how to spend wisely because in this economy, the case isn't "money ain't a thang". The tedious hours of studying reminds of how lucky I am to have caring parents to support me and my future. The lack of sleep reminds me of that sweet feeling when you fall asleep wrapped in 3 layers of comforter while it's freezing cold outside and the refreshment of waking up. The seemingly shorter weekends remind me to take advantage of each hour that I can spend with family, friends, and homework.
Having looked at the hard-knock times brings the appreciation of the good big/small/everything-in-the-middle blessings...because too much of a good thing makes you forget how good it is.
P.S. Look at the brighter side =]
